Jeg bygger mine bilder opp lag for lag, med erfaringer fra andre bilder jeg har laget ... river ned igjen og fortsetter.

"Inger Lise is an artist who is constantly developing her work. Her paintings are continually re-visited, developed and sometimes almost completely overpainted during the process of working each canvas towards a conclusion.
Over many years we have seen what a superb colourist she is, regardless of subject matter, which can range from the 'geometrical' abstracts that have an almost architectural / landscape feel, to the explosive expressionist works, some of which are clearly figurative, as well as those which appear as a pure display of joyous colour.
Inger Lise's earlier experience working as a technical drawer comes to the fore in the precise geometrical works we see. Then again, we see an other side of the her temperament when such works are assaulted by aggressive brushwork. Here we can observe the stimulating balance between chaos and order.
There is yet another side which we must look at, and that is the playful and often bizarre drawings, in the form of prints. Here we experience a deliciously wicked sense of humour!"
